Akiko Suwanai embarks on a series of 13 ballet performances featuring music by Igor Stravinsky, as well as one of Akiko’s signature works, the violin concerto by Esa-Pekka Salonen at Opéra National de Paris on 24 October. With both Maestro Salonen and Benjamin Schwartz conducting, the choreographed version of Salonen’s masterpiece has been brought to life by Japanese choreographer and dancer Saburo Teshigawara.
