London Chamber Orchestra at Gent Festival van Vlaanderen
28/9/2017
After a well-received performance at George Enescu International Festival in September, London Chamber Orchestra is now traveling to Belgium for a concert at Gent Festival van Vlaanderen on 2 October.
Under the conductorship of Vladimir Ashkenazy, soloists Daniel Kharitonovand Lucienne Renaudin Vary join the Orchestra on stage in Shostakovich’s Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings. The combination of decades of experience with the youthfulness of Lucienne and Daniel promises to be a very interesting encounter. They have previously performed together in 2016 at the 12th edition of the International D‑Marin Classical Music Festival in Bodrum, to critical acclaim.
The concert programme also features Beethoven’s The Creatures of Prometeus Overture and Symphony No.5.
