Dina Kuznetsova sings Janáček’s Kat’a Kabanová in New Zealand

Dina Kuznetsova joins New Zealand Opera as Janáček’s tragic heroine Kát’a Kabanová in Patrick Nolan’s production, conducted by Wyn Davies, opening on 16 September.
Described by The Arts Desk as “a revelation” and Opera News as “commanding a grand dynamic range”, Dina Kuznetsova is an experienced exponent of Janáček’s ladies with previous performances as Rusalka for the Glyndebourne Festival, Teatro San Carlo and Opéra de Montpellier, as well as for Teatro Municipal Santiago de Chile, where she has also performed Jenůfa and Kat’a.
