On 18 June, Vikingur Ólafsson makes his debut with the MDR Sinfonieorchester under the baton of Kristjan Järvi, playing Daníel Bjarnason​’s Processions for piano and orchestra. 

In addition to this concert, Ólafsson also performs a solo recital for his audience in Leipzig on 16 June. The programme includes pieces by Bach and Glass (selections from his critically acclaimed Deutsche Grammophon album Glass Etudes).
