Cellist Jonathan Roozeman signs to HarrisonParrott

HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome Finnish/Dutch cellist Jonathan Roozeman to its roster for worldwide general management.
Jonathan is already establishing himself as an artist of musical integrity having worked with orchestras such as the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Tokyo New City Orchestra, and with conductors including Valery Gergiev, Sakari Oramo and Osmo Vänskä.
During the 2016/17 season Jonathan has been artist in residence with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra which has profiled him in concertos by Vieuxtemps and Shostakovich as well as chamber performances. Other engagements include Tapiola Sinfonietta and Turku Philharmonic as well as a tour to Beijing for the ‘Super Cello’ festival where he performed Haydn’s Cello Concerto No.1 with the Brussels Chamber Orchestra.
Upcoming festivals include the White Nights in St Petersburg, Schleswig-Holstein Musik and Tammisaari performing Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 under Saraste. As part of a joint project with the Sibelius Academy and the Juilliard School Jonathan will also perform Salonen’s Mania under the composer at the Helsinki Festival, Baltic Sea Festival and at New York’s Lincoln Center.
