Eivind Gullberg Jensen debuts at the Wiener Staatsoper conducting Tosca, starring Angela Gheorghiu and Jonas Kaufmann in a series of sold-out performances premiering on 5 May and repeated on 8 May and 11 May. In making his debut, Gullberg Jensen will be the first Norwegian conductor to perform at the Wiener Staatsoper.

These performances follow his recent debut at Opéra de Lille where he conducted Alex Ollé’s production of Der fliegende holländer in March and April with ​“remarkable precision and balance” (Olyrix).

Jensen will return to the Wiener Staatsoper next season to conduct Puccini’s La bohème in September and October.
