Emma Bell sings Madame Lidoine in Hamburg
13/4/2017
Emma Bell makes a welcome return to Staatsoper Hamburg this week as Madame Lidoine in Nikolaus Lehnhoff’s production of Dialogues des Carmélites. Conducted by General Music Director Kent Nagano, the run opens on 21 April.
Fresh from stunning reviews as Britten’s Governess in The Turn of the Screw at Dallas Opera, Bell continues on to Oper Köln as Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio before joining Pablo Heras-Casado in Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang, the opening concert of the 2017 Edinburgh International Festival.
