Paavo Järvi returns to Zurich to conduct the Tonhalle-Orchestra on the 14, 15 and 16 December at Tonhalle und Kongresshaus Zurich. The programme includes Prokofiev’s Cello Concerto with Steven Isserlis, and Schumann’s Symphony No.3.

Järvi and Isserlis recorded the Cello Concerto with Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra (Hyperion) to critical acclaim in March 2015 — ​“Both Isserlis and Järvi leave their competition standing when it comes to expressive eloquence.” (BBC Music Magazine, 2015)

During this season, Paavo Järvi’s guest performances have included the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Philharmonia Orchestra. He will also return to the hr-Sinfonieorchester, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Wiener Symphoniker.
