Vienna Boys’ Choir present ‘Travelling with Haydn’ at the Ghent Festival of Flanders
16/9/2016
The Vienna Boys’ Choir follow in the footsteps of Haydn at the Ghent Festival of Flanders, with a concert on 21 September at Saint Bavo’s Cathedral.
Joseph Haydn was a member of the Vienna Boys Choir and the ‘Travelling with Haydn’ programme that the choir performs explores various aspects of the composer, including his relationship with folk music which supports the Festival’s theme of 2016 ‘Roots’. The concert features works by Haydn, Bach, Mozart, Schumann and Kodály.
The choir has been in existence now for more than 500 years and half a million people enjoy their performances each year. HarrisonParrott is delighted to work with them again on their tour to Ghent.
