Lukáš Vondráček wins the Queen Elisabeth Competition

Lukáš Vondráček has won The International Queen Elisabeth Grand Prize – Queen Mathilde Prize in Brussels. As this year’s winner, Lukás will perform at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts on 9 June with the Second and Third Prize winners (Henry Kramer and Alexander Beyer) and the Brussels Philharmonic under Stéphane Denève. The concert is broadcast live on Klara, Musiq’3 and La Trois and will be broadcast on Canvas on 19 June. Later in June Lukás will give a series of concerts in Belgium with Orchestre National de Belgique
Established in 1937, the international piano competition is open to all classically trained pianists aged 18 to 29 years and the winner is chosen by a jury chaired by Arie Van Lysebeth.
