Danish bass Stephen Milling returns to the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden as König Marke in Mariusz Treliński’s new production of Tristan und Isolde together with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle. Marke is one of Milling’s many acclaimed roles having previously performed it in Vienna, Berlin and Los Angeles. The production runs between 19 – 28 March before transferring to Berlin for concert performances at the Philharmonie on 31 March and 3 April.

A leading figure in the Wagnerian realm, Stephen Milling’s next performance is at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for Tannhäuser under Hartmut Haenchen, before returning to the Bayreuther Festspiele to reprise his highly acclaimed Hagen (Götterdämmerung).
