On 28 February, Akiko Suwanai performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, conducted by Tugan Sokhiev.

A regular collaborator with the orchestra, Akiko also recently toured with them to Spain and Japan.

This week’s performance follows Akiko’s concerts with Gürzenich-Orchester Köln under François-Xavier Roth featuring Peter Eötvös’ Seven; a work which was written for her. Next month she will travel to the US to make her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra under the baton of Pablo Heras-Casado.
