Having conducted the premiere over 40 years ago on the personal request of the composer, Steuart Bedford returns to conduct Benjamin Britten’s Death in Venice at Garsington Opera. The production, directed by Paul Curran, is Steuart Bedford’s first visit to Garsington Opera’s new home at the Wormsley Estate and is part of a long collaboration between him and the opera company. Performances take place on 21, 23, 27 June & 1, 4, 10 July.
