The 43rd Istanbul Music Festival takes place between 31 May and 29 June 2015. Several HarrisonParrott artists and touring projects feature in this year’s programme, beginning with Angela Hewitt, who performed a recital programme titled Spanish Landscapes on 5 June.
Fellow pianist Ingolf Wunder’s programme on 19 June features works by Schubert and Chopin as part of a 3‑part concert of chamber and piano music.
15 June sees a recital featuring piano trios by Ravel, Smetana and Mendelssohn, performed by violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, cellist Sol Gabetta and pianist Polina Leschenko.
On 24 & 25 June, Paavo Järvi and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen perform two programmes of music by Brahms, including the Violin Concerto with soloist Christian Tetzlaff.
Finally, HarrisonParrott is delighted to manage the visit to the Festival on 26 June by the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. Violinist Arabella Steinbacher is soloist and director of an all-Mozart programme, which also features violist Maxim Rysanov.
