Christoph von Dohnányi performs with Gewandhausorchester Leipzig on 14 and 15 May. He conducts an all-Brahms programme, featuring the composer’s Violin Concerto (with Frank Peter Zimmermann as soloist) and Symphony No.2.

Later in the season Dohnányi makes a welcome return to London to conduct the Philharmonia Orchestra in a concert of Bartók, Mozart and Beethoven, with soloists Arabella Steinbacher and Lawrence Power performing Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola and Orchestra.
