The Chopin Project has reached No.1 in the Official UK Classical Chart and the iTunes chart in 25 other countries.

Released on March 16 with Mercury Classics and in collaboration with award-winning Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds, the album features Alice Sara Ott performing works by Chopin including Piano Sonata No.3: Largo, Prelude in D Flat Major and Nocturne in G Minor.

The Chopin Project is a unique concept as it combines works by Chopin in their original form alongside new music from Ólafur, which draws on themes from Chopin’s music. It was recorded on various types of piano in Reykjavik using vintage recording equipment to create an intimate texture of sound.
