Following celebrated interpretations of the role in Europe, internationally-acclaimed British soprano Susan Bullock returns to English National Opera as Minnie in Richard Jones’ production of The Girl of the Golden West. Conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson, performances open on 2 October.

Continuing the American theme, Susan will travel to Houston later this season for her first venture into musical theatre as Mrs. Lovett in Houston Grand Opera’s production of Sweeney Todd.

ENO’s production also features Jonathan McGovern, making his role debut as Sid. Jonathan returns to the company following performances in three world premieres: Julian Anderson’s Thebans under Edward Gardner, Nico Muhly’s Two Boys under Rumon Gamba and Michel van der Aa’s The Sunken Garden under André de Ridder.
