Continuing a number of significant debuts in Europe this season David Portillo makes his first appearance at the Festival d’Aix en Provence in the role of Lurcanio in Richard Jones’ new production of Ariodante. The production is conducted by Andrea Marcon and opens on 3 July, with performances running until 18 July.

Earlier this year David made his Wiener Staatsoper debut in Il barbiere di Siviglia and he returns to Europe later this summer when he appears at the Salzburger Festspiele in concert performances of Donizetti’s La favorite.
