Following his successful debut there last season Michał Nesterowicz makes a welcome return to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra on 1 May, when he conducts works by two Polish compatriots – Górecki’s Three Pieces in Old Style and Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra. The first half of the concert features soloist Ray Chen performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 and the programme opens with Strauss’ Don Juan.
