Osmo Vänskä conducts Bamberger Symphoniker in Nielsen, Beethoven and Aho

Osmo Vänskä returns to the Bamberger Symphoniker for three concerts on 13, 14 & 15 February.
The programme features Martin Fröst as soloist in Kalevi Aho’s Clarinet Concerto and also includes Nielsen’s Symphony No.4, opening with Beethoven’s Leonora Overture No.2. The concerts take place in Schweinfurt on 13 February and Bamberg on 14 & 15 February.
Vänskä’s recent schedule has included highly successful concerts with the San Francisco Symphony, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Orchestre National de Lyon. Later in the spring he returns to the US to conduct The National Symphony Orchestra, Washington and The Cleveland Orchestra. He also conducts a special programme with the Minnesota Orchestra celebrating the recent Grammy Award for their BIS recording of Sibelius Symphonies Nos.1 & 4.
