18/1/2014
Andreas Scholl, Klara Ek and the Academy of Ancient Music presented a programme of Vivaldi, Wassenaer and Pergolesi in concerts in Brussels, Paris, Birmingham and London.
Scholl returned to his Baroque roots to sing Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater and Salve Regina. He was joined by Klara Ek in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, whilst the Academy performed Concerti Armonici Nos.2 & 3 by Count Unico van Wassenaer – works previously attributed to Pergolesi.
The tour opened on 25 January at BOZAR, Brussels, and continued with concerts at Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Elysees (27 January) and Birmingham Town Hall (29 January), before ending at London’s Barbican Centre on 31 January.
