Following on from their highly successful tour to the US earlier this year, Sakari Oramo and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra appear at the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest. They perform two concerts as part of the Festival’s Great Orchestras of the World series.

Stephen Hough is soloist in Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1 on 23 September, and the programme also includes Nielsen’s Symphony No.2 and Exquisite Corpse by Anders Hillborg.

On 24 September, the programme features Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto, with Julian Rachlin as soloist, and Sibelius’ Symphony No.1; the programme opens with Enescu’s Suite No.2.
