Kirill Karabits and Martin Grubinger tour with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
1/11/2012
This week Kirill Karabits, Martin Grubinger and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra embark on a three-concert tour to Germany. The performances take place at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg (5 November), Die Glocke in Bremen (6 November) and at the Stadthalle Wilhelmshaven (7 November), with a programme featuring Avner Dorman’s concerto for percussion and orchestra, Frozen in Time, performed by Grubinger, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
Grubinger, who last month made his debut with the Wiener Symphoniker and Krzysztof Urbański, also made his UK debut in October 2012 with Karabits and the orchestra in a concert at Poole’s Lighthouse, performing the same programme as this tour.
