Kodo begin their residency at Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on 15 February. The performance of DADAN, Kodo’s first production with Tamasaburo Bando, their newly-appointed Artistic Director, has generated a large amount of press interest in France, with Le Figaro, Le Monde and other publications reporting on proceedings.
This residency is part of Kodo’s 30th Anniversary One Earth Tour of Europe. Comprising an extraordinary 35 concerts, the Japanese drumming group began their journey in Uppsala, Sweden, and have performed in venues including Konzerthaus Dortmund and Dublin’s National Concert Hall. From Paris, they continue on to the Philharmonie Luxembourg, BOZAR Brussels and many others.
