The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and Claus Peter Flor enjoyed great success during their sold-out tour of China this month. The tour began on 2 December with a performance of one of Mahler’s Symphony No. 6, at Beijing’s spectacular National Center for the Performing Arts. Their performance the following night featured Brahms’ Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 9, by the orchestra’s fellow countryman, Dvořák. Violinists Akiko Suwanai and Mengla Huang joined the orchestra and Maestro Flor on tour, both performing the Brahms Concerto.
