The event features a series of concise expert presentations punctuated by a collaborative workshop, a musical interlude by University of Liverpool students, and a closing concert. Enjoy the unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, engage in structured discussions, and network during our cocktail hour.
Following this education symposium focusing on early-stage careers in classical music, there will be a networking event, then a concert, Op.1, as a musical representation of making that first leap from student to professional.
Join us for the whole day, or just the evening concert, in an unforgettable celebration of musical excellence, where each note resonates with the potential for a flourishing career in the arts.

What is the HarrisonParrott Foundation Music Access Awareness week?
In its third year, Music Access Awareness week (or #musicaccessawareness) is an annual charity campaign run by HarrisonParrott Foundation designed to engage with individuals and organisations involved across the music education sector (including educators, schools, professional musicians, hubs, foundations, trusts, orchestras, agencies and venues) in the United Kingdom to identify barriers to music access and help to solve them.
Our 2024 campaign aims to highlight the problems of Higher Education and the Talent Pipeline to Music Industry but also facilitate partnerships, dialogue, encourage knowledge sharing, and provide project inspiration to allow more young people to gain access to music education. We aim to bring together all aspects of the music ecosystem to look for solutions. The awareness culminates in a symposium on Friday 8 November.
