BLAZE, a Concerto for Clarinet Quartet and Orchestra by Dani Howard, premieres on 17 January in Mannheim, Germany. Commissioned by Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the orchestra performs the 16-minute work under conductor Michael Francis with the German Clarinets: Sebastian Lastein, Gerhard Krassnitzer, Anne Fuhrmann and Julius Kircher. The programme also includes Wagner’s ​‘Der Ring ohne Worte’ for orchestra.
