London Mozart Players give the world premiere of Noah Max​’s Symphony No.1 on 21 June in their opening night concert at Thaxted Festival. The 20-minute chamber symphony is commissioned by the festival, where Max is Composer-in-Residence for 2024. Conducted by George Jackson, the concert also includes works by Holst and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.23 with soloist Iyad Sughayer. The performance is preceded by a free panel discussion between Max, Jackson, Sughayer and the Festival’s Artistic Director Andrew Jenkins.
