Precious Adams originates from Canton, Michigan and is currently a Soloist with the English National Ballet. She has been a professional dancer in the U.K. for eight years. Precious trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia, Princess Grace Academy in Monte Carlo, Monaco and The National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada. Precious has won several awards and prizes, including two prizes at the Prix de Lausanne in 2014. Additionally, she has been awarded best contemporary dancer and best-emerging dancer by the National Dance Awards Critics Circle in 2018, was awarded the National Young Arts Foundation (USA) prize in the field of dance, and was also on the Elle and Evening Standard lists of 100 most influential people 2018. Precious has performed in hundreds of shows around the world including Aurora in Sleeping Beauty as a guest with Cape Town City Ballet, as a guest soloist in Sir Kenneth Macmillan’s Elite Syncopations at the Royal Opera House and has been featured in the works of the brilliant William Forsythe, along with countless other principal roles while working with the English National Ballet and beyond. Most recently, she performed in the world premiere of Tamara Rojo’s staging of Raymonda at the London Coliseum and Mats Ek’s latest creation The Rite of Spring, both premiered in 2022. She has also been featured in a NOWNESS episode, was on the cover of Pointe magazine in October 2019 and performs as a guest artist in collaborations with numerous globally acclaimed choreographers, dancers and creatives.
